Skin Care Is Essential For Men Too
Men need skin care but they rarely fuss with their skin as much as women. Men get chapped skin that hurts and cracks. They get irritated skin. They get skin cancer like women as well. Men definitely have skin care issues that have to be addressed.
Shaving
Most men shave daily. The secret to getting a good shave is to open your pores with hot water and lather up your face with shaving cream. After you shave, you should close your pores by splashing on after shave lotion. This stings but closes the pores and can end up saving your skin. Sealing the pores keeps them from gathering debris.
Sunburn Prevention
Just like women, men are also prone to skin cancer. You need to protect yourself against skin cancer by using a sunscreen on a regular basis. If you have lost your hair, make sure that you do not neglect the top of your head. Men are more prone to skin cancer on their trunks and heads. For good skin care make sure that you cover yourself with sunscreen when you are out in the sun.
Even when it is not summer and it does not seem like it is very hot, UV rays are still present. Men need to protect themselves against skin cancer just like women.
Chapped Skin Care
If you are outside in the winter, you know what it is like to get your skin chapped. It hurts and cracks and sometimes bleeds. Chapped skin is no fun and men tend to get chapped skin more than women, most likely because they are out in the elements more than women and may remain uncovered.
If you are out in the cold during the winter months, make sure that you cover up your skin as much as possible and also use a good moisturizer. There are plenty of moisturizers for men that will work well for chapped skin. Some men even grow beards if they work outside in the elements during the winter months to keep their faces from chapping.
Skin Care For Acne
Men suffer from acne just as women do. This can go on well into adulthood. There are plenty of acne products that you can use for good skin care, such as topical solutions and creams. Many of them contain benzyl peroxide. Benzyl peroxide is a good product that can target acne spots. If you get acne blemishes, you can dab on some peroxide with clean cotton balls.
Men suffer from the same skin problems as women yet they do not have a bunch of creams at their disposal for their skin care. The skin is the largest organ on the body and needs to be properly taken care of whether you are a man or a woman. Yes, men need skin care, too.
