Skin Care Needs Differ According to the Season
Seasons affect skin care just as much as they do your clothing style. Your skin care routine should vary from season to season assuming you live in a four season climate. Make sure that you vary your skin care as much as you would vary your wardrobe in such cases.
Your skin is the largest organ on your body and should be treated with the importance it deserves. Make sure that you practice careful skin care according to the seasons.
Skin Care in Winter
In the winter months, the air is very dry and cold. Your skin tends to get chapped easily and dried out. During these months, you need proper moisturizer more than ever. In addition to moisturizing your hands, body and face, make sure that you cover up these parts of your body as much as you can to protect them from the elements. This can prevent them from getting chapped during the cold weather. There are plenty of good moisturizers on the market that can protect your skin in the winter months. Make sure that you use them.
Skin Care in Summer
Wear a sunscreen. Do this for the sake of your skin and your health. Skin cancer rates continue to climb. Protect your skin in the summer from the UV rays of the sun that can harm your skin and promote aging. Wear a moisturizer that is oil free when you are outdoors and minimize your make up if you are a woman. During the hot summer months, the whole "less is more" attitude should kick in when it comes to wearing clothing as well as make up and skin care. The only thing that you do not want to skimp on is sunscreen.
Skin Care with Moisturizer
Always wear a moisturizer along with sunscreen. A moisturizer can protect your skin against debris and chemicals in the air and seal your skin against damage. Preferably, the moisturizer will have a sunscreen included. This will protect your skin year round. In the summer and hot months, you will want to go oil free. In the winter, you may need a bit more moisture.
Skin Care Diet
Make sure that you maintain a good diet all year long to have healthy skin, no matter what the season. Remember that the health of your skin is radiated from the inside of your body as well. By eating a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water, you can have healthy glowing skin all year long.
