Skin Care Products generally work as advertised unless you have an unusual skin condition or an allergy of some type. You may be allergic to certain foods you are eating on a regular basis.

When reviewing skin care products the most important tip you can heed is to first know what type of skin you have. Is it highly sensitive to sunlight? Is it generally rough? Splotched? Smooth? Light? Dark? etc. Once you have identified your skintype, you then need to have an idea about what you want your skin to be like. Women have different needs than men when it comes to organic skincare. Women tend to be more sensitive about wrinkles and other blemishes. Women also shave in different areas. Here are some skincare tips for women:

Organic SkinCare Tip: Wrinkles

Wrinkles are part of life. The amount of wrinkles that you are likely to develop are largely due to genetics. As you age, you will lose collagen in your skin. The loss of collagen promotes winkles. While this is all genetic there are some things that you can do to prevent wrinkles from forming too early. One of most effective skin care tip for preventing wrinkles is to stay out of the sun and do not seek a sun tan, especially as you get older. Not only does it look ridiculous, but it ages you even more.

If you suffer from dry skin, you may also suffer from dandruff which is dry scalp. If you suffer from dandruff, make sure that you wash your hair often and use a good dandruff shampoo.

Skin Care Tip: Makeup

As you get older, wear less make up, not more. Never pile on foundation to make your wrinkles appear less noticeable as it will have the opposite effect. Wear a sheer foundation as you get older or no foundation at all. Wear lighter shades of lipstick and eye color as well. Organic skincare treatments also work well and should be continued.

Do not leave home without sunscreen. Incidents of skin cancer are forever on the rise and the effects of the UV rays on the skin are well known to modern medicine. Women can have acne problems as they approach menopause so be extra careful with your skin at this time of your life.

Skin Care Tip: Shaving

When you shave certain areas of your body, make sure that you use skin care products like a proper moisturizer or shaving cream with moisturizer. You may, if possible, choose to wax areas where there is unwanted hair. It can be a little more painful at first than shaving, but the hair will stay away longer and there will be no chaffing.
